Thank you for the wonderful time. It is really a valuable tour for me to understand the Jewish culture and habits. I would like to study more by myself after going back my country also. Then I am looking forward to coming back here.

It was a very interesting and informative tour. The visit to the synagogue was most impressive and gave me unexpected insight into socialisation of Jewisch men. Thank you for this opportunity to learn more about the life in a chassidic community.

I had a wonderful time on the tour and it was the best part of my trip to New York City! I really enjoyed hearing more about the Lubavitch philosophies and spirituality and visiting the Yeshiva, mikveh, and synagogue. I thought I would come away with knowing more about the community but ended up becoming more interested in my own Jewish spirituality and how I can be a better Jew. Even thought I am a Reform Jew I felt there was a lot that could apply to my own thoughts and practices and appreciate the chance to learn and ask questions during the tour.

What a privilege to be given such an insight into your community life in Crown Heights. We truly had no idea about your wider impact in the world. Our host was brilliant, just the right balance of information and discussion. The time passed so quickly.

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the Chassidic Walking Tour. It is one thing to learn about Chassidic culture through books or movies, but nothing is better than experiencing it first-hand. These people are so dedicated to their faith and families. We have much respect for the Chassidic community. Everyone that we met was so warm and friendly. I was invited to wear tefillin at the main synagogue. I've never seen anyone do that at my temple, so I was unfamiliar with the practice. They were nice enough to let me use a set and they talked me through the blessings. I have since ordered my own set of tefillin from Israel and I am excited to use them. The falafel sandwich that I had for lunch was the best one I've ever had. My girlfriend said she hadn't had one that good since her Birthright Israel trip. The Chabad movement and the other Chassidic Jews are truly keeping Judaism alive, and I must tip my yarmulke to them. 😉

This was a fantastic tour. As a non-Jew, I felt some apprehension about how I would be received as an outsider, but Beryl Epstein put me totally at ease. He's a gifted guide, and I enjoyed very much the opportunity to see a synagogue, a tefillin workshop, and other sites, enhanced by his knowledgeable commentary.

We really enjoyed this tour! I was especially impressed to learn of the way that the typical courtship among men and women takes place. Additionally, I was amazed to hear about how men in your community conduct themselves outside of the home, making every attempt to remain pure in thought and deed. I was very blessed to know that your community takes the bond of the husband and wife seriously.

Thank you for a wonderful experience today. The Rabbi provided a deeply informative, thoughtful and engaging tour. I loved the care and consideration he showed toward all of the questions and observations raised by our group. I left the tour with a deep appreciation and regard for Lubavitch Hasidism. Being married to a secular Jew, I do not often have an opportunity to understand and connect with the religious traditions of Judaism. This was a very moving, eye and heart opening experience that I will cherish!
